The Carrajung Brigade is fortunate to have had over the years an incredible amount of support and involvement from members of the local communities.
The volunteer membership is comprised of a diverse range of people, either actively involved in training and firefighting or as in a support role for the Brigade.
New members are always made welcome.
If you have an interest in assisting and being an active part of the local community, we'd welcome your involvement.
There are many roles that volunteers can be involved in, all enabling them to make a decided contribution to our local community.
You will make new friends, learn new skills and be part of Victoria's largest volunteer team.
Volunteers come from all walks of life with diverse backgrounds, interests and skills.
One thing common to them all is their desire to put something back into their community.
You do not need experience to join the CFA as you will be provided with all the necessary training.
Being a volunteer is not all about fighting fires as there are many support roles that help the Brigade in its charter to provide protection to our Communities.
The safety of our people is very important to both the Brigade and to the CFA organisation. This means that new volunteers looking to take up 'fire-fighter' roles will need to undertake the right training before attending fires calls, and this can take up to six months.
Training is conducted by the Brigade for both existing and new members on a regular basis on the 3rd Monday evening of each Month in conjunction with regular meetings.
Have a look at the 'Meeting and Training' page for scheduled nights, drop in to the shed and ask for Graeme.
